Join us for the annual Taste of Downtown Visalia and celebrate our city's unique flavors and communities! For one night only, our local restaurants, taverns, breweries, and more share unique bits and sips.
Savor the Farm Fresh Flavors of Central California
Launched in 1994, this annual festival features over 35 businesses sharing local bites, sips, and specialties! Taste the city's diverse culinary scene. You never know - you might walk away with a new go to spot! Many of the featured Taste of Downtown Visalia restaurants are family-run, chef-owned, or part of Visalia’s grassroots culinary scene, giving locals and visitors an intimate, community-driven experience!
Because Taste of Downtown Visalia spans a walker’s paradise, it’s also an invitation to enjoy a self-guided historic walking tour and famed murals trail!

Since Taste of Downtown Visalia takes place in a walker’s paradise, it’s the perfect place enjoy a full day exploring the city! From family outings, date nights, or a friendly meetup, there’s something for everyone along this historic district.
Want to learn where our food comes from? ImagineU Museum is a fun, hands-on museum where kids and parents can learn about the local farms and animals that call Visalia home! Kids can enjoy a magic treehouse, hands-on exhibits, role-play, an imaginarium art room, and outdoor adventure.
Main Street is home to family-fun activities. Duck into Rocket Fizz to find wacky soda flavors and candies. Check out the fun, painted fire hydrants that make up our Art on Fire installation. Or drive to Mooney Grove Park to enjoy small creek paths, duck ponds, and inclusive playgrounds!
From expansive thrift stores and antique malls to independently owned boutiques, downtown is a great place to find incredible deals and wardrobe staples.
For the thrifty shopper, Peddlers Market Antiques features multiple vendors and a cozy plant store tucked into their back patio.
