10 FUN THINGS TO DO FOR HALLOWEEN IN VISALIA CALIFORNIA

It's time to get dressed up and have fun this Halloween in Visalia, especially if you’re already planning a fall trip to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. We put together a list of fun things to do with the entire family and for adults only! From classic trips to the pumpkin patch and trick-or-treating to costume parties along the Visalia Beer Trail, here's what's happening in October!

1. Vossler Farms Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze

It wouldn’t be Fall without a visit to a Pumpkin Patch or Corn Maze. Vossler Farms is home to a must-do Fall activity in Visalia, CA! Open from September 26th to November 1st, 2026, this family farm hosts a pumpkin patch, corn maze, hay rides, miniature train, and a rotating roster of food vendors. 

Don’t forget all the family-friendly activities for the littles! This well-loved pumpkin patch hosts carnival games, pony rides, face painting, the iconic giant slide, and tons of photo ops. 

2. Field of Screams at Vossler Farms

Legend has it that there are all manner of terrifying creatures creeping through the corn maze. Do you and your friends dare to enter? If so, visit the Vossler Farms’ Field of Screams! It's open for eight terrifying nights in 2026.

3. Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest season is here, and Visalia is ready to celebrate! Find lively festivals filled with Bavarian food, music, and seasonal craft beers all along our Visalia Craft Beer Trail through the last two weeks of September. There are plenty of ways to raise a stein and join the fun.

4. Nostalgic Show at Fox Theater

From candlelit orchestras, throwback movie nights, live entertainment, and seasonal markets, there’s usually something happening at the historic Fox Theater. Take in the ornate architecture as you make your way to a crimson-lined seat.

5. Downtown Visalia Halloween Trick-Or-Treat

On Friday, October 30th, bring the whole family to Downtown Visalia’s Trick-or-Treat Event! Kids can dress up in their favorite costumes and visit local businesses for safe and fun trick-or-treating. Enjoy the festive atmosphere as downtown shops hand out candy and goodies from 3:00 - 6:00pm. It’s the perfect way to kick off the Halloween spirit with the community!

6. Village Halloween at ImagineU Children's Museum

Bring the kiddos to ImagineU Children's Museum for its annual Village Halloween on Friday, October 31 from 3:00 - 6:00pm. If you have young children, you will like that it's a FREE, safe, and fun way for young children to experience trick-or-treating. ImagineU is transformed into a festive village, complete with lots of doors to knock on. Don't forget your costumes and candy bags!

7.Local Harvest Festivals

Central California is home to the most fertile agricultural fields on the West Coast! That means plenty of Fall Festivals happen throughout Visalia and nearby towns. Swing by our monthly event calendar to see what local festival is happening during your visit.

8. Dress Up in Costume & Do The Visalia Craft Beer Trail

Celebrate Halloween with a spooky stroll along the Visalia Craft Beer Trail! Local breweries will be decked out with festive vibes and haunting fun—perfect for a night of costumes, good company, and great craft beer. Whether you're a first-timer or a regular, it's the perfect chance to explore Visalia's vibrant brewery scene.

9. Local Cemetery Tour

Tag along with a local historian on a guided tour of historic cemeteries, parks, or downtown Visalia. October events range from a Living History Day to a Tales from the Tomb performance on Halloween. You can learn about notable local figures, including a survivor of the infamous Donner Party.

10. Drive Through Haunted Lanes

Take in the spookiest sights by cruising through Visalia’s neighborhoods. The City of Visalia hosts an annual “Haunt the Home” contest, and residents go all out! Check out all of the haunted decor and vote for your favorite houses.
