Winning Never Gets Old: Visit Visalia Invites Travelers to 2020 Visalia Senior Games

Visalia, Calif. (March 6, 2020) – Visit Visalia invites visitors, competitors and spectators to explore Visalia during the annual Senior Games taking place March 21-22 and 28-29. 

Presented by Kaweah Delta Medical Center, the Visalia Senior Games promote healthy, active lifestyles for adults 50 and over and provide a weekend of fun for visitors of all ages.

“With 13 sporting events scheduled, hundreds are expected in town for the 2020 games,” said Nellie Freeborn, Visit Visalia executive director. “We’re excited to see these active contenders compete in Olympic-style events, and we hope you will come share in the action with us.”

Seniors looking to quench their competitive thirst can sign up for events such as archery, bowling, cycling, pickleball, swimming and more. This year’s newest addition to the lineup is racquetball. 

“Between events, travelers can stroll through Visalia for a dash of art, history and shopping, or unwind at a variety of dining options,” Freeborn said. “Catch a show downtown at the Visalia Fox Theatre, continue the action at the newly renovated Riverway Sports Park, or grab a bite to eat at one of the many grub hubs spread throughout Visalia’s microbrewery district – here, there’s something for everyone.”

Several organizations partner with the games, exposing visitors to what the Central Valley has to offer.
