City of Visalia Welcomes Back Grand Chapter of California
Order of Eastern Star
Visalia, CA (October 10, 2025)—The 151st Annual Session of the Grand Chapter of California, Order of the Eastern Star, will be convened in Visalia, California, October 15 through 18, 2025. They will gather at the Visalia Convention Center in downtown Visalia for fellowship, business discussions, and installation of new officers. With over 500,000 members worldwide, it is the largest fraternal organization in the world to which both men and women may belong. Presiding over the event are Worthy Grand Matron Alice Raymond and Worthy Grand Patron Mel Perez, Jr.
“Visalia is honored to once again welcome the Order of the Eastern Star members to our city. Visalia’s location, commitment to hospitality, including welcoming merchants and our vibrant pedestrian friendly downtown, just steps from the Convention Center make Visalia an ideal community for the Order of the Eastern Star to convene,” said Visalia Mayor Brett Taylor.
The multi-day annual convention, which attracts Order of the Eastern Star members from across the state and beyond, has been held in Visalia for more than a decade. The organization has chapters in almost all 50 states and in 27 countries. The State of California Grand Chapter is divided into 39 districts with myriad chapters within each district.
The Order of the Eastern Star remains rooted in charitable endeavors and fraternal fellowship. It offers its members opportunities for personal growth and community involvement.
While the business sessions are restricted to members of the Order, the public is welcome to attend the informal Opening session held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15 as well as the Masonic Youth Session and Grand Installation held on Saturday, October 18 at 1:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Registration is not required for attendance at these public events, but an RSVP is requested for the Youth Session.
