Book Talk and Signing - "College of the Sequoias: A Century of Excellence"
Historian and retired COS professor Newell Bringhurst will premiere his new book on the 100-year-history of COS during the August Art Walk. The book traces the history of COS from its beginnings ats the "Visalia Junior College" at Visalia High School (now Redwood), the construction of the current campus "way out in the country" on Mooney Blvd., the long tenure of Ivan Crookshanks, and new expansions to Hanford and Tulare.
