Gonzales Dance Academy is owned and directed by Mr. John Gonzales. After 46 years of being in the Folklorico Industry, he now continues his next chapter of Folklorico growth in the cities of Porterville, Visalia, Fresno, and soon Bakersfield!
Mr. Gonzales’ dream is to target youth in cities throughout the Central Valley and aims to expand and reach audiences in other States of the country. It is a company focusing on the use of dance to preserve and promote the culture and traditions of the Mexican heritage.
This Academy will endeavor to retain the historical significance of each dance, while at the same time highlighting them with energy and the splendor of movement, color and music. It is Mr. Gonzales’ creative spirit that allows the excitement and magic of true Folklorico to surface through his dancers. The result is a celebration of life and the rich cultural heritage of Mexico.
