PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT

Our national parks are just that: ours. That means we need to be responsible to clean up after ourselves and leave no trace behind from your visit to the parks. It is best to take all trash home with you so that wild animals aren't attracted to it. If trash cans are available, use them! The responsibility for removing your trash is with you! If you aren't familiar with the rules of camping, ask a ranger. They will be happy to help visitors new to the parks what the best practices are.

You can read more more information on how to recreate responsibly.

WEATHER CONDITIONS

Especially in the winter, it is important to know what weather to expect. The weather varies greatly from Visalia to the upper areas of the park, sometimes by 30 degrees. Park visitors can check the current weather conditions as well as look at the 10-day forecast. Dressing in layers is always a good suggestion as the temperatures can vary throughout the day.
